DIVA FUND - Established Feb, 2009
Goal is to provide an "on the
spot" donation to those helping women and in need of monetary help. Any
Xtraordinary women can submit a recipient at any time, and
it will be discussed at the next board meeting (unless urgent & will handle via
email).
Feb, 2009 -
HEART TO
HEART
This
non-profit helps over 1200 women each year transition from area battered women's
shelters to apartment living.
Our donation will
cover the rent of their storage unit for one year (where they keep the donated
products).
Many of our members are involved in
other philanthropic initiatives. We provide reference here for such
activities that may be of interest to others:

Communicating The Power of One
is a non-profit marketing
and communication arts consultancy, serving to empower the voice of women,
family and youth-centered mission-based programming and social enterprise.
Lauren Rogers, executive director, is also a board member of XtraOrdinary Women.
